Tammy is a Colorado native and has lived in the Greeley for the past 33 years.  She has been a stay at home mom for most of those years with her five children. She also has 8 grandchildren who are the joy of her life.  She loves the mountains and nature. When she has the opportunity, she heads to the hills for a hike or weekend getaway.

Tammy’s heart turned towards those on parole after her son was released from prison the second time. She was involved with a church community who housed parolees and worked with them to get back on their feet. She realized the needs those men had and that they did not have much support. She had taken a chaperone course through Care Counseling in order to position herself to support them.  She met Cheryl during this time and took the training to be a Circles of Support and Accountability volunteer.

Tammy’s working background consists of being a barista while attending classes at Aims Community College and for a couple years after she graduated. She received an Associate’s Degree for Medical Administrative Assistant.  She was finally able to use her education when Cheryl asked her to work at The Rock when they were awarded their first grant. She worked as a Case Manager for a year and a half and then later came back to work as the Accounting Manager.
