No One Is Disposable

Cheryl Polan
Founder & Director, The Rock Found Reentry Center
In May 2009, Cheryl founded Freedom for the Captives, a street outreach ministry serving the homeless in Denver, serving 5 halfway houses and starting her own transitional housing. After 30 years in the international business world, she felt a deep calling to dedicate her life to ministry. In 2012, she moved to Greeley, Colorado, with a vision to make a lasting impact in the lives of those coming out of the criminal justice system.
Today, Cheryl leads The Rock Found, a reentry organization supporting individuals on parole as they work to rebuild their lives. Through housing support, employment training, education, mentoring, and a strong sense of community, The Rock Found empowers people to move forward with purpose and dignity.
In 2025, The Rock Found expanded its outreach to support 18–24-year-olds struggling with homelessness, lack of job skills, challenging home environments, addiction, gang involvement, and justice system entanglement. With the support of church and community partnerships, Cheryl is working to build new programs focused on transitional housing, vocational training, and wraparound support for these young adults—offering hope, direction, and a second chance.
